We have decided apart from adhering to the government guidelines our main concern is road safety and the safety of our customers. Therefore we have decided to stay open so we can still provide you with your MOT/Safety check and to help keep you and Burton safe. We will be operating shorter working hours as from April 1st all tests must be booked, including re-tests during this time. About Alan's Test Centre - Established in 1987

Alan's Test Centre is an unbiased MOT Testing business with sites in Burton-on-Trent, Mansfield, Derby which is accessible to surrounding areas like Swadlincote, Hilton, Hatton, Etwall, Tutbury, Rolleston on Dove, Barton, Repton and Newhall.

We are totally unbiased because, unlike a lot of other garages and testing stations, we ONLY carry out MOT Tests. We do not repair, service or maintain vehicles and for this reason we have no vested interest in failing a vehicle in anticipation of being asked to carry out repair work.

Our ethos

The idea of an independent test centre was to provide motorists with a facility to have their vehicle MOT tested at a place that does not carry out repairs. This ensures there is no conflict of interest and assures our customers that they will receive a completely unbiased test. We provide motorists with a completely honest and fair facility.

Free Retest within 10 working days.

If you're vehicle happens to fail its MOT Test for whatever reason, we offer a free retest within 10 working days. Because we don't charge for a retest we actually want your vehicle to pass just as much as you do!
